erase memories life give us from our past, but each time its a sad song...

I just read what I believe to be a great book. Its not a novel but a published case study by Freud, he's such a great writer its almost reads like fiction. I started off the book thinking that Freud was a certified Quack and realize by mid way and through the end that he was officially my (psychologist) hero and a genius.
Freud analyzes in a way that is pure art. Though I don't know if the modern patient or rather 'client' would be able to withstand the drudgery of the process.
If fact, the patient in this case could not withstand the amount of time it took for Dr.Freud to "cure". Though symptom after symptom was indeed clearing up an over time could have been completely eradicated. More importantly in this long and complex method of treatment the patient gains deep insight in to their condition.which can "cure" not only the somatic behavioral compliance of the particular disorder/problems but also discourage the unconscious motives which are behind the outward behavioral dysfunction...
